Interested in attending faculty professional development workshops?

Click on the Click Here to Register button at the top of the page to enter our registration system. If you are logged in to Sinclair's network, your name will display in the top-right corner. If you are not logged in, the username and password boxes will be displayed. Click on Calendar to view all our offerings on the calendar, click on Courses to see the various categories of offerings and their descriptions. Select a category of professional development offerings and the individual workshop titles, date and brief description will be displayed. Click on a title to view more details and register for the session. You will need to be logged in to register and access the My Courses page. The My Courses page allows you to:

  • view the workshops you are currently registered to attend,
  • de-register from any of those sessions,
  • see the list of workshops of which you are a facilitator, and
  • view all the sessions you have attended in the past three year. Contact the CTL office for earlier participation records.

 

Interested in submitting a workshop proposal?

Do you have a great idea for a professional development workshop for our faculty? Please click here to submit a workshop proposal for next semester. We welcome cross-discipline and co-facilitation of workshops on teaching and learning. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) mind/brain education, engaged pedagogies, flipped classroom, diversity, deep learning strategies, technology, understanding college pedagogy, contextualization, mentoring students, working with international students, and universal design for learning. Workshops are to include active attendee participation, an in-depth treatment of a topic, pre-/post-tests, and handouts.

An email receipt will acknowledge each proposal and letters of invitation to present the workshop will be emailed to the lead facilitator. The CTL will work with you to determine dates, times, and rooms.
